Description :
Orochimaru is a major antagonist in the Naruto series, created by Masashi Kishimoto. He is a former member of the Legendary Three Ninjas (alongside Jiraiya and Tsunade) and was a student of the Third Hokage, Hiruzen Sarutobi. Initially, Orochimaru is a highly skilled and talented ninja, known for his expertise in forbidden jutsu, particularly those related to immortality and the manipulation of human bodies.
His primary goals revolve around achieving immortality and gaining ultimate power, which leads him to betray the Hidden Leaf Village (Konohagakure) and defect from the village. He becomes a major antagonist throughout the series, known for his sinister experiments, seeking to possess other people's bodies to extend his life. He is also obsessed with unlocking the secrets of ninjutsu and immortality, which results in his role as the leader of the Sound Village (Otogakure), a rogue ninja organization.
Orochimaru’s powers include a wide range of jutsu, including the use of Summoning Jutsu (to summon snakes), and his ability to manipulate his own body to regenerate, change form, and possess others. His most infamous technique is the Reaper Death Seal and Edo Tensei (summoning the dead), which has made him a terrifying and persistent enemy.
Despite his evil nature, Orochimaru is a complex character. His motivations stem from a deep sense of fear of death and a desire to overcome the limitations of his human existence. Over time, his role evolves, and he becomes more neutral in the later parts of the series, especially when he has an uneasy alliance with the protagonist Naruto and others during the Fourth Great Ninja War.
